Homemade Ice Cream Recipes or Not

There are those out there who may not want to go through the hassle of Homemade Ice Cream Recipes either because of time constraints or due to work or family pressure.

Well whatever the case Don't worry because you can do just as well if you go to your local store to buy some fresh fruit and then get a carton of your favorite ice cream to take home.

What you can then do is when you are ready to dish your favorite ice cream up is take some of that lovely fresh fruit you bought and add it to it.

For those that need some hints you can use berries of all sorts like strawberries and blueberries etc. You can use oranges, apples, bananas, avocados, kiwi fruit, passion fruit, peaches, in fact you can use all sorts to turn a delicious ice cream treat into a fabulous ice cream treat.

You can also use most types of nuts to add to your recipes but be careful when including these as they are most definitely a choking or allergy hazard. When using any type of nut as an ingredient it would be best to find out if any guest's have any allergies before dishing it out to them.

If they have no problems I would either grate or finely chop the nuts (play safe use a blender or electric dicer of some sorts) that way your fingers won't get damaged! All sorts of nuts can be used here, Almonds, Brazil nuts, walnuts etc etc. Remember it's your choice!

Just don't do the apples or bananas too early or they will discolor, do these at the table this way it won't put any one off.

You don't need to get too involved or dramatic even just one or two fruits nicely chopped or sliced and spread over the ice cream will suffice that way you can have a fantastic dessert ready within minutes and would be a delight after any meal or at any party.

So what are you waiting for get cracking, if you need more hints and ideas then try these great Homemade Ice Cream Recipes out.

It does not matter if you do not have a Homemade Ice Cream Maker as you can get great ideas from the

A flavor or two of Homemade Ice Cream Recipes

Naturally with homemade ice cream recipes you do need an ice cream making machine which can vary in price from around $30.00 and upwards. At these prices it can be well worth making your own ice cream and not just for those special occasions.

The great thing about homemade ice cream recipes is that you can put whatever ingredients you fancy in them. You can also make them to suit everyone's taste like sugar free, low calorie, non-dairy or even the great creamy regular ice cream.

Here's a titbit of information that you may not have known, ice cream was said to have been invented by a French Chef of King Charles the 1st who apparently dished it up as a dessert after a sumptuous state banquet.

However this is not known for sure as something similar to ice cream was also around in the time of the Emperor Nero Claudius Caesar. Who was said to have sent slaves to the mountains to bring back ice and snow to cool or freeze the fruit drinks that he was said to be fond of.

What we can be sure of is that ice cream in one form or another is around to stay and we should make the most of it. Ice cream is the delicious treat that finishes off a great meal or party for nearly everyone.

In the hot weather it is great for that cooling refreshing sensation that it gives you as you enjoy it in the heat of the day or night.

Here's a couple of great homemade ice cream recipes for you to try!

BLUEBERRY

3 cups blueberries
3 cups table cream
1 1/4 cups of sugar
Blend in blender just before putting in machine.
Simple recipe, great ice cream. Nice texture, nice flavor (not too sweet).

BANANA

The riper the bananas, the more flavor.
4 ripe bananas
3/4 cup simple syrup
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 cup heavy cream
Working quickly to keep the bananas from darkening, peel and place them in a food processor with the lemon juice. Purée until smooth. You should have about 2 cups of purée.

Stir in the simple syrup, then the cream, pour the mixture into the bowl of the machine and freeze.
Makes about 1 quart.
